Ellis and Partners offers a wide range of professional surveying services to clients in private, public and commercial sectors with a comprehensive knowledge of building types and usage.

Our areas of practice include the following:

Party wall matters:

Our surveyors can act as party wall surveyor either for a developer or adjoining owner or can act for both parties.  It is important to obtain proper advice in connection with party wall issues, not only to ensure that boundaries are properly respected but also that building work does not adversely affect an adjoining structure.

Planning applications:

Our in house CAD technicians are experienced in both domestic and commercial planning applications for new buildings, alterations, extensions and changes of use.  Advice can be given in connection with permitted development legislation for development by householders, listed building applications and planning appeals.

Building Regulations:

We can prepare drawings and specifications in connection with building notices or full building regulations applications including negotiations with the local building control officer and liaison with other professionals such as structural engineers.

The Disability Discrimination Act:

We can assist owners and occupiers in connection with complying with their DDA obligations. 

Health and safety, CDM Regulations:

We can advise in connection with these important aspects of the building or development process.

Dilapidations advice and negotiations:

Whether you are a landlord or a tenant the question of dilapidations can be a very significant issue at the end of a lease (or sometimes part way through the term) and we are able to inspect and prepare the necessary schedule including negotiating the undertaking of the works or other settlement of the claim with the other party.

Condition surveys:

Ellis and Partners provides a full range of services to assess and document conditions of buildings for record or alteration purposes. This may include condition surveys of commercial properties or portfolios for maintenance programmes, lease negotiations and site redevelopment. We are able to provide a complete consultancy service from inception to project conclusion.
